Summary

Do you ever lose sleep about how many different courtrooms you have to appear in at the same time?  Are you anxious about never really being able to take a vacation without being "on the clock?" Ever had a serious health or personal issue that came up unexpectedly before a trial or big hearing and were troubled by how to address that with the court or opposing counsel?  Have you been unfairly strong armed, threatened with arrest, or with a bar complaint simply because you are a busy professional who is trying to zealously represent many clients in different places to the best of your ability?  These situations come up far more frequently than we'd like to admit and often get referred to GACDL's Lawyer Assistance Program, A/K/A the GACDL Strike Force, despite being largely avoidable.

Alex Susor, vice-chair of the GACDL Strike Force (and former Strike Force client), has experienced all this, AND MORE! Despite our best efforts, sometimes a collision course with an unfair judge or prosecutor is inevitable. Alex will be speaking about how to manage all of these issues and will share a toolkit he's developed to help you better handle these situations so you can avoid the crash altogether, manage the impact so you come through safely if it’s truly unavoidable, or, better yet, turn the tables on the other side so THEY are the ones feeling the pain instead of you and your client.
